About the role
The Concours d’Elegance promises to be an exciting experience that offers an unique journey through automotive history. From the roaring twenties to the cutting-edge designs of electric vehicles of the future. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a fascinating array of cars.
We require volunteers:
- to escort VIP guests to the venue,
- direct guests to talks and other activities,
- assist with the car parade; and
- check-in guests onto the boat transfer from Cockle Bay to Cockatoo Island.
The shifts are:
Friday 28th February – 8.30 am – 4.00 pm
OR
Saturday 1st March – 9.00 am – 4.00 pm
OR
Sunday 2nd March – 9.00 am – 4.00 pm
If you can only do 1/2 day, please let me know and we will endeavour to accommodate your request.
You will be supplied with a Legacy t-shirt. Please BYO your own sun hat and water bottle. This event is outdoors, please come prepared. The dress code is smart casual.
You will receive access to the event and be provided with food and drink, along with a full-briefing.
You must have excellent customer service skills. You will be on your feet most of the day and therefore you need to be able to handle enquires from the public with a smile and pleasant attitude.
About the organisation
Legacy was established in 1923 and is dedicated to the caring of families of deceased or seriously injured veterans. Since the Legacy promise was made by a soldier to his dying mate in the trenches of WW1 to "look after the missus and the kids", Legacy has supported Australian Defence Force families in times of great need. Today, Legacy supports 43,000 partners and children of veterans. Our work means a child gets an education and a fair go, a widow is not disadvantaged and alone and a family is not torn apart by the effects of post-traumatic stress or other psychological injuries.
